Barbara Emberlin

MA in Art History – Arizona State University
ARTH 200IA and ARTH 201IA Instructor
Office #245 Haynes

Barbara Emberlin is an Arizona native who recently moved to Bozeman with her husband and two children.  She is excited to be a part of the MSU community, teaching a topic she will forever find fascinating. Her specific area of interest is in the art of Early Italian Renaissance in the Tuscan region.  However, as a survey instructor, she greatly enjoys crossing cultural and artistic borders and watching first-time students of art history begin to understand the relevance of the discipline in our own world today.  The role of teacher is one she feels privileged to hold and enjoys working with her students.  Outside the scholarship setting, she relishes family time and being outdoors taking in the beauty the area offers.
