Jeremy Hatch’s studio practice employs a variety of techniques and concepts linked to ceramics, ranging from vessel-based, wheel thrown sculpture to large-scale slip cast porcelain installation. In 2008, he founded Ricochet Studio as a means to explore the intersections between craft, art, and design. One goal of Ricochet is to collaborate with artists from various disciplines to develop limited edition ceramic products. He regularly exhibits nationally and internationally; and has attended a number of international residencies including the Takumi Studio in Japan, the European Ceramic Work Center in the Netherlands, and Kohler’s Arts/Industry program, and the Bemis Center for Contemporary Art. He has also taught at Emily Carr University, RISD and the Univeristy of Wisconsin-Madison.
