Teacher and student

Art Education at MSU

The Art K-12 program emphasizes the artist-as-teacher as a foundation for preparing visual arts specialists in the elementary and secondary schools. Coursework and field based experiences in local schools guide pre-service visual art teachers as they design curriculum and assessment strategies that include a variety of studio areas for all content which fulfill national and Montana state standards. This program leads to a license to teach visual arts in grades Kindergarten through 12 in Montana schools.
